Stillness is all you hear as a leaf softly falls from the canopy above. You follow it down as it cascades over a fern. It twitches and slowly you see eyes rise until they catch yours. As a chill shoots from your beating heart into your fingertips you see her for everything she is, a strong sensual being fully exposed before you.
As I put the plan together for Weightless I longed for an image that could tell a story with one glance. As you lock eyes with the image you cannot help to feel engaged in a moment of raw sensuality and pure strength.
She looks deep into your eyes with little effort, the same way she carries her large floral adorned wings with such grace. As you start to look over the image, studying each little detail, you can feel her following you across the scene. It doesn’t feel haunting, but rather that you have been invited to see something so special and secret, as if it’s only for you.
Weightless is only being offered as the original, there will be no reproductions.
Weightless is currently framed in a dry mount setting meaning that the paper is not attached to the backing or the mat board allowing it to be easily re-framed if desired with no damage done. The framed dimensions are 41 1/2" x 41 1/2" with a black wooden 2" thick frame, a double acid-free white mat board, and archival glass. The paper the image is on is 36" x 36" and was created using museum quality archival ink on 184lb. paper.
Due to this image being dry mounted for ease of altering the frame and the paper having originated on a roll due to the size, there are some slight ripples throughout the image. This can be seen in the framed images but is not noticed when viewing the piece. I am happy to have the image mounted to acid-free foam-core at no cost to the purchaser and placed back in the frame so that the ripples are gone if desired.
