Fire in the Canopy
Over night the weather had shifted and the temperatures dropped back down to normal with heavy overcast and some intermittent spitting of rain.
Driving up through this valley there were some small pockets of color and I knew there was potential to get a shot and head home that night. Driving up to a small grass airstrip, on the backside of the airstrip sat this magnificent scene.
I set up my tripod and shot this with my favorite landscape lens, a 400mm. If you are not familiar with what the "normal" landscape lens is, this is far from it.
I got this shot and took a few extra frames in the event the one I wanted was blurry.
